Crispy Breaded Tofu Patties!

As we continue to make a conscious effort to have less meat in our diets, tofu has become a weekly staple. If it’s cooked right, tofu can be just as satisfying if not more satisfying that meat – it soaks up allll the flavor! These tofu patties were 👌🏻

How To:
– Drain 2 blocks of tofu, and cut into “steak” size pieces. Place between a towel with a heavy objection top for at least 10 min to extract all excess water.
– Meanwhile get out a large flat plate/bowl and add 4 cloves minced garlic, 2T tomato paste, 1T Dijon, 1T soy sauce, 1T water, 1T agave and some pepper. Mix together.
– Add 1C panko breadcrumbs to a separate flat dish & season with s&p.
– Dip each piece of tofu in the sauce, covering both sides completely. Then dip each side in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to throughly cover it. Repeat with all pieces of tofu.
– Heat a pan with 2T olive oil and cook tofu steaks on each side till they are golden brown. Do this is rounds so you don’t overcrowd the pan.

Plate with your favorite dipping sauce and tell us it doesn’t taste just as good as chicken nuggets 😏
